In South Florida, nearly every home has a pool within 100 feet. Pool safety isn't optional here. It's a life skill as essential as knowing first aid.
What Pool Safety Training Covers
This program addresses the most common pool emergencies: recognizing drowning (it looks nothing like what movies show. It's silent), performing a safe assisted rescue without endangering yourself, basic pool-side supervision techniques, and emergency response protocols.
The Silent Drowning Reality
Most adults believe drowning involves screaming and splashing. In reality, drowning is almost always silent. The drowning person cannot call for help because they're using all their energy to keep their airway above water. Learning to recognize the actual signs of drowning could save a life.
For Pool Owners and Parents
If you own a pool or regularly supervise children around water, this course is essential. The skills taught here are specifically designed for non-professionals: pool owners, parents, and anyone who spends time at the pool.
Certified Instruction
All instruction follows American Red Cross water safety guidelines, taught by Bibiana Szikszai, a Red Cross certified instructor with 15+ years of experience.
